CTF June 2009: Defining Community Technology

June, 2009. Introduction

In this issue we take a look at some of the central issues surrounding community technology, and define the role that CTF hopes to play in supporting community technology.

The first article, "What is Community Technology? And how does this issue relate to Milwaukee?" is an editorial piece that aims to define the issue in a positive light, and as a benefit to everyone living in Milwaukee.

Our feature article is "Community Technology from Coast to... Minneapolis". It describes three different kinds of CT initiatives, and provides examples of each.

This issues community technology resource takes a look at Techsoup and their program that helps connect nonprofits with hardware, software, and other technology needs.

Last but not least, "Looking Forward" talks about plans for future articles, and goes into detail on possible directions for CTF.
